The Road Back to God

For Everyone Caught In the Space Between Belief and Belonging.

You believe in something greater. You want a relationship with the divine. But you aren’t sure where to start, or your current framework no longer fits.

A path winding through a quiet alpine meadow toward mountains

There isn’t a single road ‘back’ to God. Your journey will be beautiful, and it will be solely yours. You don’t have to see the entire road ahead. You only have to be willing to take the next step, trusting that something will meet you there.

Meet Michelle

Michelle Kersten-Freeman
Author / Guide / Speaker

Michelle Kersten-Freeman is a writer, speaker, and certified life coach with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and more than 25 years of executive leadership in healthcare and social services.

Raised in organized religion, Michelle eventually stepped away to seek her own understanding of God. What followed was a deeply personal, nonlinear journey through healing, personal growth, spiritual exploration, and ultimately a road back to God - not through a prescribed set of beliefs, but through a relationship she could experience as authentic, loving, and her own.

Today, Michelle writes and speaks at the intersection of psychology, spirituality, and real life. Her work is for people who long for connection with the divine, but may not know where to start or for those who may be questioning what they were taught, healing from religious experiences, or simply searching for a deeper and more personal spiritual connection.

There is no universal map - no prescribed set of steps that leads everyone to the same place. Each path is shaped by experience, questions, and the willingness to keep moving forward, even when the way isn't clear.

There will be detours, pauses, and moments to stop, rest, and gather yourself before taking the next step.

That is not failure. That is the journey.
